I believe you have even lost the support of your own party!!

…..and Why Did he Come

March 24, 2008 by fromuganda

All over AFRICA, hosptality is aone of the key values that every family should have. Visitors are always welcome in whatever situation and are usually accorded the respect they deserve. However, there exist some ground rules to be followed when you visit:

  1. You don’t poke your nose into matters of the Host
  2. You always restrict your comments and utterances.

Its the last that our brother(..ehh Revolutionary) Leader of Libya failed to adhere to when he recently visited Uganda.

He made utterances that did not go well with the greatest of the population about the Christian Holy Book, the Bible. For goodness’ sake, how could he mention that the BIBLE was a forgery? This is what led to most of the Preachers to focus on this in their sermons during Easter Celebrations. The President of Uganda( whom he advised not to leave power) also turned against him by aligning himself with the rest of the population. This now leavesus with the Question; WHy did he Come? If the host seems to have turned a back against HIM, is he WELCOME any more to the Pearl of Africa?

And who says it doesnt?

Evry corner of the street you turn to seems to be buzzing with discussions about Land. The government has tabled a land bill to amend the existing Act that controls the administration of land.

Now the President has comfirmed a known fact: Land bleongs to the Citizens. This is very true and no one has challenged it. However, one wonders who the TRUE citizens of Uganda are.

Well. we really are yet to know who the TRUE CITIZENS are. This is another question of discussion.

….and when he tires ?

March 18, 2008 by fromuganda

Now the great African Revolutionalist, Col. Muammar el  Qadaffi has told his fellow freedom fighter not to retire from power. Well, that is great for the Freedom fighters who hold the visions for the people. ONe of tehm holds the great vision of the USA( not America, But rather The United States of Africa) whereas the other said he’ll not leave until “his vision”is accomplished. What is that vision for the latter? Is it the East African Community Presidency or something like that?  Well, that aside imagine if the guy tires and yet Qaddafi told him not to retire? Such a thing brings problems becuase a tired individual can not do much. In fact, its compared to one who is taking a sprint. In the last minutes, its the determination to reach the goal which keeps that person on but actually, the Individual is tired. I think if the big man tires( which I think has already started happening) , it will be worse for a country like Uganda. I predict it will go to the likes of Zimbabwe.

…..and the Fourth and the Fifth

March 17, 2008 by fromuganda

The streets of Uganda are tense with the revelation that some members of teh ruling NRM-O party are trying to front their “”man with a vision”for another fourth term come 2001.

The Daily Monitor reported today that the President’s political adviser, the No nosense Maj. Rolland Kakooza Mutale is teaming up with the ruling members of the House to ensure that the BIG man comes back in 2011.

Every one is now speaking of a Political dynasty in the offing. Instead of doing something, people are asking themselves what to do. You know what to do? When the Electoral Commission(independent or not?) announces voter registration, put on your dancing.. eh I mean running shoes to the registration centres to be ready to vote in 2011.

Also, ensure that come that time, avoid any sicknesses and vote wisely to ensure that the visionary man is removed.
